The natural ground level was very low. In some places, we had to dig down to 1.8 meters. To ensure the foundation’s structural integrity, we decided not to compensate by raising the concrete footings. We therefore built an initial foundation beam, on top of which we laid two courses of formwork blocks, followed by a second foundation beam.
