Mexican electricity heats up

It was late afternoon on Sunday, when my wife and I were enjoying an aperitif on the terrace of a beachside restaurant. My attention was drawn to an exposed, poorly protected electrical wire, its sheath burnt by the heat of undersized cables. This is a recurring problem here in Mexico, where no electrician really understands what he's doing or why he's doing it. When the time comes, we'll have to train our electricians in hbfs from scratch, and plan well in advance.
